Top Critical Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree & Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved program)
- Trial preparation and trial support experience
- Experience drafting legal documents, managing discovery, preparing medical chronologies, and summarizing deposition transcripts
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and management of civil cases for trial
- Handle discovery, records management, and document organization
- Summarize medical and employment records and prepare detailed medical chronologies
- Summarize discovery responses and deposition transcripts
- Draft meet and confer correspondence and litigation-related documents
- Support motion practice, including discovery motions and motions to continue trial
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare case materials
Qualifications
- 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm
- Civil litigation experience required
- Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program required
- Experience with legal research platforms and paperless file systems
- iManage experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to successfully pass a background and drug screen
